Ricardo Goncalves Athlete Ambassador
Ricardo is a Portuguese cyclist who looks up to the pros. He talks to Sundried about life on two wheels.
Have you always been into sport?
I've been a cyclist for 4 years and before that I was a soccer player.
What made you decide to enter the world of cycling?
I started cycling in order to lose weight but soon found a passion for it.
What’s been your favourite race to date and why?
My favourite professional cycling race is the Strade Bianchi in Italy, and my favourite race to take part in is the Aveiro Spring Classic because that's a race in my country of Portugal that is very similar.
Have you ever had any racing disasters/your toughest race yet?
I've never had any disasters and I hope it stays that way! The toughest race I've done is the Volta ao Minho in Portugal.
How do you overcome setbacks?
Never look back, stay strong, setbacks make me better.
What advice do you wish you'd been given before you started competing?
Never give up, you always can do better.
What are your goals for 2020?
To get a good result at Volta ao Minho.

Pro cyclist Peter Sagan.
