Charlie talks to Sundried about training and racing.
Have you always been into sport?
I have always been heavily into sport from a very young age. My main sport being motocross, I do a lot of road cycling, mountain biking, running and gym work as part of my training routine.
What is your proudest achievement?
Winning the Wessex 85cc championship in 2012 and various motocross races around the country at club level. Also participating in the AMCA British championship.
Have you ever had any racing disasters?
Yeah! Bikes going wrong and a couple of big crashes.
How do you overcome setbacks?
Think positively and always be optimistic. I always think to myself, there is always someone in the world that is worse off. And that they would give anything to be in my shoes at that moment, so never take anything for granted and always be grateful with the cards that you are dealt.
What advice do you wish you'd been given when you first started out?
I never look back or regret, I always look forward.
What are your goals?
To enjoy what I do to the best of my ability and any additional achievements along the way are a bonus.
