Have you always been into sport?
Yes, I've been into sports since I was a child. I raced my first ever 5k when I was 13 - and I won! That was when I fell in love with running and decided I wanted to become a professional athlete. Since then, I have represented the National Team of Greece in cross country for over 11 years.
How did you first get into triathlon?
My decision to enter a triathlon came from my friends; they convinced me to join them and I loved it!
What's been your favourite race to date and why?
My favourite race is "Costa Navarino" in Greece. It's a tough race.
And your proudest achievement?
My proudest achievement was competing in the National Championships in 2010. It was a 3,000m track race and I finished in a time of 8:15:34 and 1st place.
Have you ever had any racing disasters/your toughest race yet?
In my career I've had some crazy times, from going the wrong way in a race to crashing into a car.
What are your goals?
My dream is to race at the Ironman World Championships in Kona.
What advice do you wish you've received before you started competing?
To enjoy myself and have fun! When you participate in national championships, you run for your country and that can put you under a lot of pressure. So I would say enjoy every single moment before it gets serious.
Who do you take inspiration from?
My inspiration is my dreams and my dreams are my inspiration!
